I’ve been having such a blast recently connecting with other strong business women in a networking group that I’m in. One of those women is Megan Huber, who recently had me on her podcast Built to Last. As two female business owners, wives, and moms, we had a great chat about feminine power and blending the lines between business growth, hustle, motherhood, and most importantly, rest.
WHY I LOVE THIS EPISODE
I’ve been exploring this masculine and feminine energy so much lately and my eyes have been opened to the fact that women are expected to work the way that men do (often times even harder), but we are not built to work that that way. As women, our cycles and our operating systems are completely different than men’s. Megan and I talked through this concept a lot and how it relates to running a business and a family.
HIGHLIGHTS FROM OUR CONVERSATION
Megan and I discussed societal messaging as it relates to our lives and businesses, amongst many other things including:
- My divorce story including why I hired a private investigator
- How women can stop the negative habit of comparing themselves to others
- How to avoid the “hustle” mentality and instead focus on rest
- How I measure my personal goals (like self-care and relationships)
- How I tap into my feminine self in my personal life and business and how I blend this energy with the masculine in an authentic way
- How I decide what a period of slowing down is going to look like for me
…and so much more.
