Are you looking for some things you can incorporate into your daily routine that will help transform the way you look at life? These 3 small but mighty tips won’t take up much time in your day but will have a huge impact on your mindset and life.
COUNT YOUR WINS
Take time out of each day to think about your daily WINs. These can be big or small but reminding yourself of your daily WINs will have a lot of impact.
It’s important to remember to not only think about those external WINs but to also be aware of the internal WINs.
An external WIN is something like someone giving us a compliment, making more money, or we lose weight. These external WINs are great, but they are also very surface level. We have to be able to go in and look at what’s going on internally within us to see how we’re changing every day.
Because we are so busy with our day to day lives, these internal WINs can be easy to miss. It’s so important to take the time every day to ask ourselves, what did I do to make progress on my goals.
Some internal WINs could be having a breakthrough, a truth you’re realizing about yourself, reacting in a new way to an old problem, a habit you’ve changed, or a goal you’ve reached.
So, look beyond those external WINs and find those internal WINs.
FIND GRATITUDE
A lot of us have heard how important it is to be grateful, but we may not know the science behind it.
There was a 10-year study that monitored how people changed after expressing daily gratitude and what they found was that people’s immune systems improved, they had fewer aches and pains, they took better care of themselves, slept better, more alert, more optimistic, and happier.
Scientists have also found that they can measure the frequency of feelings and the lowest feeling on the scale is shame. But the highest emotion we can feel is gratitude.
By holding space daily to count your gratitude, this will allow you to make space in your brain to grow bigger and bigger to hold gratitude. It’s like a muscle and needs to be worked every day.
Once you start doing this, you’ll notice those grateful moments more and more in your days.
BRAG ON YOURSELF
I learned about this concept from a self-help book called Pussy by Regena Thomashauer (which I highly recommend).
Bragging is a way to feel value in yourself.
It’s a way of saying, “world, look at me. I am awesome.”. And by saying these out loud, it allows others to hear it too.
Brags help us that we can be seen for the great things we are, and it helps cultivate our confidence.
Brags are “I am” statements.
I brag that I am confident. I brag I am an amazing mother. I brag that I’m a powerful coach.
Ask yourself, what am I?
By doing these 3 small things daily and incorporating them into your life, it will have a huge impact on how you view yourself. To hear more about these daily habits, listen to my Become an Unstoppable Woman Podcast episode 24.
