I know I don’t talk about parenting a whole lot in my business, but that doesn’t mean that being a mom isn’t a huge part of my identity. Because it absolutely is. Jessica Nicole, host of the Mom SLOW DOWN! podcast completely understands the balance of parenting, running a business and living your own life separate from the identity of “mom.” I know this can seem like selfish or “bad mom” behavior, but as women, we have got to stop judging others. The mom guilt has got to stop. You can be a great mom AND have things in your life that are your own.
WHY I LOVE THIS EPISODE
Jessica and I discuss the idea of failure quite a bit. It is my goal to redefine what it means to fail so I love sharing the idea of analyzing the data in your life so that failure can just be seen as information rather than a setback. This interview is a great balance of personal details in my life along with details of my business and coaching process.
HIGHLIGHTS FROM OUR CONVERSATION
Jessica and I discussed my past, present and future, including:
- How I stayed motivated to thrive after my divorce
- What happened when I went to a therapist when I was suspicious of my partner’s infidelity
- What my typical client looks like
- How to look at failure in a way that helps you move forward rather than fall back (what I call, “fail forward)
- The worst piece of advice I’ve ever been given
- The biggest shift I see for women of the future
…and so much more.
